This pattern works in both the round and in rows and I use abbreviations according to UK crochet language. The finished holly is approximately 9cm (3.5”) in length and the finished pine cone is 5cm (2”) in length . These are perfect for decorating a Christmas wreath along with some mistletoe and ivy, but they could also be used as brooches, to embellish bags or simply as decorations.

Tools Needed: 2.5mm crochet hook,

 4.5mm (US size 7) crochet hook, scissors, yarn needle.

Yarn Needed: 4 ply/fingering weight cotton yarn in dark green (approx. 6g) for Holly and 4 ply/fingering weight cotton yarn in dark brown (approx. 10g) for Pine Cone.

Other Materials Needed: 3 x 1.2cm red buttons for Holly and polyester/toy stuffing (approx. 1g) for pine cone.
