After deciding to make a blanket for myself and doing a bit of searching on Ravelry and other such crafting sites I found that perhaps I would be lacking in more subtle square patterns without some more resources. So I ordered a crochet book that has come highly recommended called 200 Crochet Blocks for Blankets, Throws and Afghans: Crochet Squares to Mix-and-Matchby Jan Eaton. It has so many beautiful designs that it was hard to choose which one to try out first but I decided to learn how to make squares using the row method and so this Zigzag design became blanket square number 2.
