I knitted this hat last week, from a book called Knit: Handmade Style (Handmade Style (Thunder Bay Press)), with much excitement as the pattern was called multicoloured beret and I am very keen to be able to make such a hat. However despite the appearance, the pattern actually makes what I would describe as a beanie. A little disappointing but a really good design anyway. The pattern was easy to follow and it is great in that you can use up lots of little bits of wool. As we have now come into September and the leaves as beginning to turn I thought I would choose Autumn colours for my beanie and I think they look rather fetching. Of course any colours would work and if anyone has any requests for a colour combination please contact me here.
I used the following colours of DK wool: red, black, brown, lime, cream and emerald green. I also used some Marble Chunky wool. Please visit my Etsy shop to buy this item or to browse my other handmade goods.
